Issue

When an ENGL license expires an error message will be displayed with the product name as follows;

 ENGL Zmainrun
 Your evaluation period has expired.


 Build Console
 Evaluation period expired on xxx

Solution

Update the license file details in Build Console then update appropriate locations.

Procedures

1. Update Administrative Workstation
 
2. Update the ZENworks imaging server
 
3. Update build process add-on images
 
4. Test updated files
  1. Update Administrative Workstation

    • Launch Build Console.

      • If the ENGL license file has already expired you will see an error:

        Image ./images/2012002-1.png not found.
        • Click Ok

        • The Paste your new licence code into the Register Imaging Toolkit dialog

          Image ./images/2012002-2.png not found.
        • Click Ok. Build Console is now licensed and will load successfully

      • If the ENGL license file is still valid but needs updating

        • Select Help -> Register Imaging Toolkit...

        • The Paste your new licence code into the Register Imaging Toolkit dialog

          Image ./images/2012002-2.png not found.
        • Click Ok. Build Console is now using the updated license

      • To confirm restart Build Console.

        • Build Console will load and should not report any errors.

        • Select Help -> About Build Console

        • About Build Console Dialog will load. The new license information will be displayed

  2. Update the ZENworks imaging server
    Copy the file engl.lic, which can be found in C:\ProgramData\ENGL\ImagingToolkit, to your imaging server's zimfiles directory

      /srv/tftp/zimfiles
    • Windows
      %ZENWORKS_HOME%\share\tftp\zimfiles
  3. Update build process add-on images

    • Launch build console

    • Open existing project

    • Select Tools ->Deployment Wizard then click Next

    • Select Build proces Creation from the list of deployment tasks then click Next

    • Select Build proces (ztoolkit.zmg) from the Image Selection options. Unselect the other options then click Next

    • click Next

    • click Yes if prompted to continue

    • click OK to dialog reporting The deployment has been created successfully

    • Once the Deployment Wizard has completed, check the Open project folder option and click Finish

    • From the project folder, open the images folder and copy/update the <project directory>/ztoolkit.zmg file to the /images/<project directory> folder on the server

  4. Test updated files

    • All files should now be updated. Run a test build to confirm everything is now working and that there are no more licence error messages
