ZENworks Configuration Management 25.4
ZCM 25.4 support allows integration with ZCM PXE imaging using ENGL WinPE to automate ZMG or WIM image restore, installation of the ZCM Agent and application bundles.
ZENworks imaging process enhancements (ZCM 25.4 / 25.2)
For ZENworks imaging, we've updated the ENGL WinPE imaging front-end (Zim) to include ZMG imaging progress. Requirements are ZCM 25.4 or 25.2 (requires ZCM 25.2 FTF 244).
Automated imaging support for ZCM
For some time we've pointed customers to a TID with steps to update the imaging front-end script to support automated imaging using a ZENworks WinPE imaging bundle. With Imaging Toolkit 14.0.2, the changes are now included by default when running the Integration Wizard and generating a new Zim template (zim.cfg). We've also added support for hardware rules based imaging with ZCM 25.x.
MECM 2509
With Imaging Toolkit 14.0.2, we've added support for the latest versions of MECM.
Custom scripts now default to PowerShell
Due to popularity of PowerShell and questionable support from Microsoft over the future of VBScript, new projects will be created with PowerShell custom scripts. Existing projects with VBScript custom scripts are still currently supported.
Note: We urge all customers to migrate to PowerShell custom scripts as VBScripts may be discontinued in a future release.
