Issue

When installing the ZENworks Agent there is a requirement to specify whether or not  ZENworks Full Disk Encryption (FDE) will be installed.  By default, Imaging Toolkit 11.x, sets the command line not to install the FDE component.  Consequently, if you have FDE enabled in your Zone the Agent will hang when trying to install.


NOTE:This process is only required if ZENworks FDE is enabled in your ZCM zone.


Solution

To prevent the Agent from hanging remove "-b -fde" from the command line


Procedure


1. Update project settings.


Open the project you wish to update and complete the following steps:

  1. Open the ZENworks - Configuration section of the project.
  2. Select the ZENworks Adaptive Agent.
  3. Modify the command line by removing the "-b fde" parameters.

    The complete command line will be: %SystemDrive%\Ztoolkit\Agent\PreAgentPkg_AgentComplete.exe -x -q 
     
  4. Save and validate the project.
  5. Run the Deployment Wizard and re-create the Build Process (ztoolkit) add-on image.


2. Test

Run a test build to confirm everything is now working and that the updated Agent is being installed during the build process.
