This TID includes steps to troubleshoot the Imaging Toolkit Active Directory join process.

This error can occur when the Active Directory domain includes multiple DC's which are taking longer than expected to synchronise the recently joined computer. 

If the error is shown whilst adding the domain installer user to the local Administrators group, it can cause Imaging Toolkit to fail when performing low-level disk access such as reading EBD (ENGL Build Data) or ZISD (ZENworks Image-safe Data). 

Imaging Toolkit 14.0.3 includes the ability to change the delay between joining the domain and attempting to add the domain installer user to the local Administrators group. The default delay is 10 seconds.

To change the default delay, set the following registry key to the number of seconds required in the phase 2 before script.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ENGL\Ztoolkit\DomainJoinAfterDelay (DWORD)
